Yuen May Chan on Operational Excellence and CGS International’s Growth

Yuen May Chan, Deputy Group CEO and Co-Group CFO at CGS International Securities Group, has been recognized for Excellence in Operations at the 2025 Women in Finance Asia Awards. Chan oversees strategic financial initiatives and transformation programs, particularly in integrating the Group's operations with parent company China Galaxy Securities (CGS).

Since joining in 2005, Chan has witnessed CGS International evolve from a brokerage-focused firm to a diversified financial services provider with over 2,200 employees across 15 markets. Her expanded portfolio now includes International Business, Business Process & Assurance, and Brand & Marketing.

Operational innovation remains a priority under Chan's leadership. Recent initiatives include AI-powered Anti-Money Laundering systems, enterprise-wide digital transformation, and exploring new funding avenues like commercial paper issuance.
